The actual currywurst long gone, someone was more than happy to polish off the remaining pomme frites, drenched as they were in ketchup, mayonnaise and curry powder.

I have a strong dislike for graffiti that interferes with the art of others, but this one was simultaneously terrible vandalism (to what I assume was an already damaged statue), which also managed to put a smile on my face.

Stumbling across Stolpersteine plaques all too regularly in the streets is both confronting and depressing, but what a commendable project! I found that it communicated the extent of the tragedy far more powerfully than any holocaust memorial I have seen.
